Paula has thoroughly immersed herself in her professional career and continually engages in courses and training to improve her knowledge and sharpen her skills as a first class trainer. She is pro-active, creative and extremely good at solving problems, taking real pride in motivating people to achieve their goals.
In developing her wide ranging skills Paula has spent several years in a variety of positions such as on the Casino floor working as a table games dealer, a games supervisor and an assistant pit boss. In clubs and hotels she has worked as a gaming attendant and supervisor in a range of different types and styles of venue.
It was in her role in OH&S at Crown as the Safety and Injury Management Coordinator that Paula began to gravitate to teaching and training positions, managing and encouraging workers to return to pre-injury duties or alternatively assisting them to obtain work elsewhere. She believes in early intervention, communication and closely working with staff in the reporting of hazards and incidents in order to objectively reduce further exposure to injury and trauma.
